Week 10: Vikings @ NYG
- wadE
Life has been so busy, I haven't had the time to bore you with my thoughts on the Vikings.
So quickly:
I have never been so frustrated and elated while watching a Vikings game (and that's really
saying something)
Think about it, the Vikings hadn't run a kickoff back in 6 years... which was against who? The
Giants.
The offensive ineptitude was stupifying. (my new Mike Tyson Thesaurus is great!)
Latest word this week is that Liewinski (Off. Guard) is being deactivated. I actually
hadn't noticed how bad he was playing...since the whole group has been less than stellar, but
apparently he's been the worst of the bunch...although I now hear that he's been playing hurt.
Regardless, apparently we've brought in some guy from San Diego who when he showed up, he was
over 400 lbs. Think about that... that's 100 pounds more than Shaq... whoa... and it sounds like
he'll be playing next week. I can't wait!
Anyway, as for the game, I'm so happy they won, and I hope we don't play the Giants again for
at least 7 years (since we've played them in each of the last 7, and something like 10 out of
the last 12.
Fun side note... last week was the first time in NFL history that the Vikings, Packers, Bears, and
Lions all one games on the same day. How strange is that.
Special thanks to Eli for playing like Daunte. (booooo! bad host... bad host </arsenio>)
I said last week: "it sure would be
something if the division came down to the final game of the season, with Chicago travelling to
Minnesota." I'm still holding on to that dream. :-D
Skol Vikings!
