I'm not sure that there are many of you here who aren't also in The Forum, but just in case... yesterday I posted a link to what can only be described as a disaster waiting to happen: Karate Kid The Musical! Featuring 20 ferocious new songs, including "Wax On! Wax Off!" "My Name is Ali" and "We are the Bitchkicks".

Wow.

So, I decided that this was an idea that really needed to extend to other pop or cult classic movies, and with that in mind, here are the best ideas I could come up with (or at least the best ones off the top of my head), along with the songs that would have to be spawned.

Ferris Bueller the Musical!
Featuring "Nine Times", "Ed You'll Throw Your Back Out", and "Ferris Bueller You're My Hero".

Army of Darkness the Musical!
Featuring "This is My BOOM Stick!", "Ta-ta Cretins", and "Shop Smart - Shop S-Mart".

Brewster's Millions the Musical!
Featuring "Where the Hell is Hackensack?", "I Lust For My Accountant", and "None of the Above".

The Lost Boys the Musical!
Featuring "Join Us Michael", "You Wanna Buy a Dodge Durango?", and "Two Coreys, No Waiting".

Transylvania 6-5000 the Musical!
Featuring "Hey - That's Kramer!", "Ed Begley Jr. Really Blows", "I'm Mr. Roper and You Two Are My Bitches", and "The Ridiculous Monster Medley".
(It's really more of a musical about the actors, I've decided.)

Big the Musical!
Featuring "I Wish I Were Big", "I Used to Dress in Drag on TV", and "Where Did All This Hair Come From, and What the Hell Am I Supposed to do With THIS?".

Tremors the Musical!
Featuring "Worms! Really Big Worms!", "Didn't You Used to be on Family Ties?", and "I'm Kevin Bacon and You're Not - Live With It".

And finally...

E.T. the Musical!
Featuring "Ell-Eeee-Ottttt!", "I'm Gonna Grow Up to Be Drew Barrymore", "No Guns", and "E.T. Phone Home".

Well, at least I can say I've entertained myself today...
