Hello from the world of simpleprop.com.

First off, let me pimp the FORUM yet again. To those of you who are actively out there, good for you! To those of you who are not, for shame!!! It's free, it's fun, and it'll keep you from doing your work!!! What more could you ask for?

The response to the new look of SP.com and the forum has been overwhelming... did I just type "overwhelming"... I'm sorry, I mean UNDERwhelming. Which either means it's just fine, or no one cares. Either way, we hope you are enjoying it. We'll continue to tweak a bit, but I for one am digging the clean look of the white pages.

I know several people have asked, so I can now answer, the 4th Annual Austin Bar Crawl article is in process. And to not be modest, it might be the best article yet.

I have described this years ABC as "uneventful yet fun", which is a pretty accurate account. There wasn't any of this:

But that's probably for the best. Oy! Regardless, it was a fantastic time, and I can't wait for publication.

As a teaser, let's take a look at a few pictures from the last year that didn't make it into the article.

From 2003: Aptly titled "skank.jpg". Note: Bored Alex in the upper left,
and a shot of one of my armwrestling opponents. We were really attracting a crowd that night

From 2003: Dan just after he pulled the plug on our Photo Hunt game,
the smug bastard! You can see the simple DOS on the screen while it reboots.

Wow...I even scare myself looking like that.

And if you haven't heard the story, a few weeks after the 3rd ABC, Wade and Jason were back in Austin and having dinner at Perkins when one of the women from that night came over and yelled at them for giving them a fake cell phone number, and that we missed out because they were "ready to go" that night.

Only in Austin...
