Opening Day

This gambit is coming to you late in the day...er, evening. One, because I'm lazy, but two, because I wanted to see how I felt on Opening Day 2004.

After what should have been 2 errors, and some early inning opposite field home runs by the likes of Travis Hafner and a "guy" name Jody Gerut, the Twinkies are down 3-nil to the still horrific Cleveland Indians.

I know, a lot of people say they'll be good in 2005 or 2006...but regardless. Without C.C. Sabathia, this Cleveland team wins just a couple more games than Detroit. I mean really, they just traded away their best offensive threat in Milton Bradley. Who do they have left? The ancient Omar Vizquel and Matt Lawton (who has been doing a great Griffey impersonation the last couple of years).

So while I'm excited for the baseball season to begin, it didn't take long (2nd inning) for the usual complaints to resurface. "Rivas sucks!" "C'mon Guzy...arghh..." "Yet another save in the dirt by Dougie Baseball." Etc.

With that being said...Go Twins!
