I'm in a foul mood today...heh, make that "this week", but I'm trying real hard to be positive.

So let's start with a feel good article from the strib.

This article talks about how much happiness can money buy.

That is something I've been thinking about lately. Would a new job w/ more money really make me happy? (Couldn't make me more miserable than I am now) Would winning the lottery make me happy? (I'd have to say a resounding "YES"... at least for awhile) While I don't have everything I've ever wanted, would there be a lack of joy in being able to obtain anything and everything?

Anyway, there are two points from the article I'd like to highlight. The first one being that most people feel that if they had 20% more money, everything would be great. The best part is that people who make over $100,000 a year felt the same way as those who made far less.

The second point is something I too have felt. The secret to life and happiness is to want what you have. Which if I stop feeling sorry for myself, I can answer that I actually do want what I have. Things aren't so bad.

Ok, onto the fluff...in no particular order

George Clinton was pulled over and admitted to having cocaine in his pocket, and the police found a pipe in his car. Wow!!! Not George Clinton, not the frontman of the P-Funk All-Stars (Parliament and The Funkadelics)! I'm shocked! Ok, you caught me...that's some sarcasm. I know some people who were backstage the last time George Clinton was in town and they said people were smoking crack all over the place backstage. Heresay, yes... surprising, no.

Eminem investigated by the secret service. For rapping "I don't rap for dead presidents, I'd rather see the president dead," Mr. Mathers was investigated, but nothing formal is going to come of it.

And the fluff item of the year... "Actress Bridget Fonda, 39, and composer Danny Elfman, 50, were married last weekend, Fonda's publicist said Friday. The wedding took place near Los Angeles, with the reception at a downtown restaurant. The newlyweds are on a two-week honeymoon."

What? Keep in mind that's a flattering picture of him... how about this!

Good gawd!

And finally on a sad note... Ozzy Osbourne is on a ventalator in a London hospital after crashing on his ATV and it landing on him. Sounds like he'll pull through, so it's a win-win for MTV if they are in the middle of taping another season of The Osbournes! What's even scarier than Ozzy's near fatal accident, is that he's only 55! As they say, it's not the age, it's the mileage!

TTFN!
