Trees

Late Gambit.

I've been running around like a chicken sans head trying to catch up from being out yesterday. No, not sick. No, not vacation either.

Trees.

Richfield (my 'burb) beared the local brunt of a storm on Tuesday night, where straight-line winds and lightning made the city look like a war zone. Decades-old trees were uprooted as though they were new saplings, taking ground and concrete with them. In our brief walk, it looked as though very few houses sustained any actual damage. Just the trees.

Yesterday was spent dealing with the fallout in our yard. Huge branches from our trees littered our yard, thankfully our trees were left standing. Actually, we gained two in the deal-- two trees from neighbors' yards ended up in our backyard.

The most annoying part? The parade of cars, gawkers driving around seeing the damage. I understand it's moving, but.. don't you people have jobs? Do you truly have nothing better to do than look at the misfortune of others? No?

Daah.

More cutting tonight. I think I'll moon people if they look like they don't belong.
