Curt Hennig, better know as Mr. Perfect to wrestling fans died on February 10th, 2003. He was found in a hotel room in Tampa FL dead of an apparent heart attack, he was 44.

Today it was revealed that Curt's death was actually caused by a cocaine overdose.

During the 80's I was a huge wrestling fan...I would stay up late to watch All-Star wrestling on Saturday nights. The AWA was the pinnacle of wrestling and dominated for years before the WWF came along.

Although Curt wrestled for years with the AWA, he didn't become a household name (well, households that watched wrestling) until he joined the WWF in 1988 and became Mr. Perfect.

Once I reached high school my love of wrestling faded...mostly due to the fall of the AWA, and bastardization of wrestling by Vince McMahon (as soon as the pile driver became as damaging as a body slam, it was all over).

At any rate, Mr. Perfect was the wrestler you loved to hate. He had the ability to get under your skin and you rooted passionately for him to lose. Curt was an exceptional athelete and as good of an actor as wrestling has ever seen. It would seem the the glitz and glamour of Vince's version of pro-wrestling finally caught up with him.
