The Rototron Cornbobber

Corn!

Wait, let me try that again. Corn!

There, that’s better. I’m not really sure what to say about this video. Part of me has to admire the lengths one has to go to turn a 15 second joke into a seven minute mock-infomercial. Part of me hopes that this was a class project - in other words, that they didn’t just do something this involved for the sheer pride of it. Because it’s good, but not that good. Still, I got a chuckle out of it. Perhaps you will too.

Don’t Watch This

Seriously. It’s gruesome. It’s a knee injury. It happened last night, apparently. Found via Deadspin. Those bastards.

I’d like to reiterate: You cannot un-watch this. It’s like Joe Theismann breaking his leg. Enjoy!

Resonance

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m such a nerd that this comic makes me laugh a lot of time. If you delve into the archives far enough to come across the “sudo make me a sandwich” strip, that’s probably my favorite. Yes, that’s how much of a nerd I am. If you understand how that quote could be funny, you’re a nerd too.

Caternization

Yes, I did just combine the words “cat” and “fraternization”. It’s how I spent my weekend. Deal with it.

You’ve met Greta once or twice already. With the impending approach of Ultra Storm 9000, we decided it was a fine time to introduce her to Amanda’s cat, Stella, aka “The General”.

At first there was much hissing, and growling (yes, all from my brat cat; she’s a diva), and a few no-claw slap fights. But then things settled down, because after all there were toys to be played with. Greta even forgot to hiss and growl all of the time.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a sleep-over if someone didn’t play dress up. Greta wanted no part of the festivities, but The General proved to be a willing model. Not even Greta could resist gawking at the latest in high kitten fashion.

By Sunday the two of them had even learned how to chase each other, after a fashion. It was hard work, requiring plenty of naps.

All in all, we’re calling it a success. Hopefully the more they do it, the better friends they’ll be. Then we’ll bring in Solei.

Wayne and Garth’s tasty stir-fry.

$10 wok keeps TV station on air. How great is that? I totally applaud this kind of ingenuity.
