Paying to Go Unpaid

Alex Skunch

As an hourly wage slave (albeit, granted, a fairly well compensated one), I am forced into what I consider to be the most unsavory deal in modern working life – the Paid Leave Time bucket. For those of you who don’t know what that is, I’ll explain it later when I really complain about it. What’s got my goat in a bundle1 today is an email I received recently on the subject of purchasing additional PLT days.

SP T-Shirts (and other designs) now on sale!

Shirt Site News

It seems like every other web site you see these days has some kind of t-shirt shop attached to it. You’ve probably noticed that. We noticed it, and decided we wanted a piece of the action. Well, mostly we just wanted some SP T-Shirts, but we figured why not try our hand at a few other things as well. Right? Right. As such, we are proud to announce the grand opening of the SP T-Shirt Shop, which will be available at any time by clicking the link over there on the right. We will hopefully be producing new designs with some frequency, and will announce them as they ‘arrive’. If you have any requests (more women’s products, existing designs in different colors, etc.), please post a comment here, and Alex will get right on it.1 Thank you for your continued readership and/or support of SP.

One was that the Vikings hadn’t won in Green Bay since 2005, which was before Childress and also the last time they swept the season series against the Packers. But the biggest reason was that a win over the Packers would keep the Viking in first place in the NFC Norris Division with a 2.5 game lead and holding the tie breaker over the Packers; a loss would essentially put them in a tie with Green Bay (since Green Bay has already had their bye and they are playing Tampa Bay next week you could safely assume that after the Vikings bye week both teams would be 6-2).
