Week 7: Vikings @ Steelers

Last week I added a comment to my Week 6 review that the Ravens were the victim of the Karma Police. One could say the same about the Vikings this week. After two improbable victories over San Francisco and Baltimore the Vikings were due for luck to swing the other way.

The Death Of Baseball?

To paraphrase Mark Twain: the rumors of baseball’s death have been greatly exaggerated.

The death of baseball is already right around the corner, and with the four 2009 LCS teams coming from the 10 list of team salaries I can understand why. But if you watched any of the games you would have seen that some really good baseball has been played.

Week 6: Vikings vs. Ravens

Even before I saw today’s quote from Jared Allen I was going to open this post with “It’s better to be lucky than good”.

Twice now the Vikings have run up a big lead only to let their opponent get back into the game by playing incredibly poor defense.

Week 5: Vikings @ Rams

Football wadE

The Vikings fifth game of the season was a classic “trap” game. Emotional win over the Packers, short preparation week, and an inferior opponent. Additionally Viking fans are used to the team playing to the level of their opponent.

What I found even more interesting is that that game turned out to be a duplication of the Packer game, minus the 4th quarter defensive breakdowns.
