Most of the time it’s a really nice and peaceful life, living out here on the literal edge of town, facing a mountain valley. And then sometimes you look out the back door and see a bird the size of a football sitting on your deck.

File that one under another good reason why we don’t let the cats go outside. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a better picture before it flew off. Not sure if it’s a raven, or just a very large crow. Either way, I suppose…

I’d been meaning to write up a larger post with the pictures I’ve snapped while out here so far, but I think by this point that it’s not going to happen, so how about we just link up the Flickr set I created instead? Yeah, sounds good to me, too.
